Whereby He did redeem him, for He is,
The Great Redeemer, Full of Mercy.
38. We said: "All of you, go down hence,
And when to you will come My Guidance,
Those that My Guidance follow are to have
Nothing to fear, nor ever grieve.
39. But those who do deny and disbelieve
Our Signs,1 shall be the heirs of Hell,2
In which they shall for ever dwell.
40. O Sons of Israel, do call to mind,
The favours that I have on you bestowed,
And to My covenant be true;
And I will keep My covenant with you,
And of Me, only, be afraid.
41. And have belief in what I have revealed,
Which does confirm what, ere this, you received,3
And in denying it, be not the first,
And let my revelations not be cheaply priced!
And do fear Me, Me only.
42. Do not disguise the truth by falsehood,
Nor let the truth be covered knowingly.
43. Keep up the prayers, and pay zakaat,4
And do bow down your heads along

4. Regular charity: 2.5% of one's net income according to specific regulations to be spent on the needy, etc.
