Ali Quli Qarai, The Qur’ān with a Phrase-by-Phrase English Translation (2005)

and an advice and admonition for the faithful.
121 And say to those who do not have faith,
‘Act according to your ability;
we too are acting.
122 And wait!
We too are waiting.’
123 To Allah belongs the Unseen of the heavens
and the earth,
and to Him all matters are returned.
So worship Him
and trust in Him.
Your Lord is not oblivious of what you do.

12. Sūrat Yūsuf 1

In the Name of Allah,
the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

1 Alif, Lām, Rā.
These are the signs of the Manifest Book.
2 Indeed We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’ān
so that you may apply reason.
3 We will recount to you
the best of narratives 2
in what We have revealed to you of this Qur’ān,
and indeed prior to it you were
among those who are unaware [of it].
4 When Joseph said to his father,
