On whom He'll choose;
And God's the Lord of Grace untold.
106. None of Our revelations,1
Do We e'er abrogate,
Or cause to be forgotten,
But We shall substitute,
A better one, or something,
Similar, unto it; do you know not
That God's Omnipotent?
107. Do you not know that the Dominion
Of heavens and the earth belongs
To God alone, and that besides
Allah, you have no patrons,
Nor any helpers.
108. Or do you wish to make demands
Of your Apostle in the manner
That Moses was demanded once,
In former times? But whosoever
Changes from Faith to Unbelief,
Has strayed, without a doubt,
From the right route.
109. Many amongst the People of the Book,
Desire that they could somehow turn you back,
Now that you have believed, unto unfaith:
They burn with jealousy now that the Truth
Has unto them become most plain!
Thus pardon them, leave them alone,
