Some revelations 1 manifest,
And none shall disbelieve in them,
Except the sinfulest.
100. And is it not a fact that every time,
They make a covenant, a group amongst,
Them violate it? Nay, among them most,
Choose to be faithless all the same.
101. And when there came to them a messenger,
From God, confirming what they had with them,
Some groups among the people of the Book,
Cast off the Book of God behind their back,
As if they knew about it nothing ever!
102. But they accepted what the satans,
Recited of the reign of Solomon;
Yet Solomon was not a faithless pagan!
The disbelievers were the satans, who,
Taught people magic, in addition to,
That which had been sent down in Babylon,
To Haroot and Maroot, the angels twain;
Yet never did they 2 teach a man a lesson,
Without first telling him: "The likes of us,
Are here as trials only, thus,
Never should you your faith abandon";3
Yet from them men did learn some charms,
By which they could create division,
Between a husband and his woman;
But certainly they could inflict no harms
