21 So admonish — for you are only an admonisher,
22 and not a taskmaster over them —
23 except him who turns back and disbelieves.
24 Him Allah will punish with the greatest punishment.
25 Indeed to Us will be their return.
26 Then, indeed, their reckoning will lie with Us.
89. Sūrat al-Fajr 1
the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
1 By the Dawn,2
2 by the ten nights,
3 by the Even and the Odd,
4 by the night when it departs!
5 Is there an oath in that for one possessing intellect?
6 Have you not regarded
how your Lord dealt with [the people of] ‘Ād,
7 [and] Iram, [the city] of the pillars,
8 the like of which was not created among cities,
9 and [the people of] Thamūd,
who hollowed out the rocks in the valley,
10 and Pharaoh, the impaler,3
11 — those who rebelled [against Allah] in their cities
12 and caused much corruption in them,
13 so your Lord poured on them
