3.Sūrat Āl-i ‘Imrān 1

In the Name of Allah,
the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

1 Alif, Lām, Mīm.
2 Allah — there is no god except Him —
is the Living One, the All-sustainer.
3 He has sent down to you the Book with the truth
confirming what was [revealed] before it,
and He had sent down the Torah and the Evangel
4 before
as guidance for mankind,
and He has sent down the Criterion.2
Indeed those who defy the signs of Allah,
there is a severe punishment for them;
and Allah is all-mighty, avenger.
5 Nothing is indeed hidden from Allah
in the earth or in the sky.
6 It is He who forms you in the wombs
however He wishes.
There is no god except Him,
the All-mighty, the All-wise.

7 It is He who has sent down to you the Book.
