sure that they were indeed told a lie, Our help came to them and whom We pleased was delivered; and Our punishment is not averted from the guilty people.
111. In their histories there is certainly a lesson for men of understanding. It is not a narrative which could be forged, but a verification of what is before it and a distinct explanation of all things and a guide and a mercy to a people who believe.
Chapter 13
The Thunder (Ra’d)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
1. Alif Lam Mini Ra. These are the verses of the Book; and that which is revealed to you from your Lord is the truth, but most people do not believe.
2. Allah is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that you see, and He is firm in power and He made the sun and the moon subservient (to you); each one pursues its course to an appointed time; He regulates the affair, making clear the signs that you may be certain ol meeting your Lord.
3. And He it is Who spread the earth and made in it firm
