Ali Quli Qarai, The Qur’ān with a Phrase-by-Phrase English Translation (2005)

except for a little [while].
61 Accursed,
they will be seized wherever they are confronted
and slain violently:
62 Allah’s precedent with those who passed away before,
and you will never find any change in Allah’s precedent.

63 The people question you concerning the Hour.
Say, ‘Its knowledge is only with Allah.’
What do you know,
maybe the Hour is near.

64 Indeed Allah has cursed the faithless
and prepared for them a blaze,
65 in which they will remain forever.
They will not find any guardian or helper.
66 The day when their faces are turned about in the Fire,
they will say,
‘We wish we had obeyed Allah
and obeyed the Apostle!’
67 And they will say,
‘Our Lord! We obeyed our leaders and elders,
and they led us astray from the way.’
68 Our Lord!
Give them a double punishment
and curse them with a mighty curse.’
69 O you who have faith!
Do not be like those who tormented Moses,
whereat Allah absolved him of what they alleged,
and he was distinguished in Allah’s sight.
